BITCON... WHY its totally FLAWED

So are these amounts traded at all?

Edit to add; in other words has anyone bought or sold something for a fraction of a bitcoin?

I have done so many times.

No offence intended, but are you a bit simple?

For those who are wondering why bitcoin is currently tanking, here is my theory:

mtgox has stopped the flow of cash & bitcoins into them.
= the bubble fuelers are left at the door
= the price tanking.

I personally have not, but you can easily purchase many things that cost less than a whole bitcoin.

www.coinabul.com have silver 1oz pieces for sale, and that's one example that springs immediately to mind (I'm sure there are plenty of others).

I'm buying on behalf of people tonight and I can tell you, there is no shortage of people wanting to catch some at cheap prices on this forum!

Mt Gox is transferring BTC to external wallets within a coupele of hours too, I'm impressed they can manage that.

Edit: Spoke too soon, Mt Gox appears to have gone down again...DDoS???

So Bitcoins are divisible obviously, that removes one of my obstacles to classifying it as a currency, cheers MM. :)

I was actually going to ask you if you could buy some for me with your AUD in MtGox and I'll bank transfer.

On the plus side as well - I am position 240 in the verification queue. Should be good this weekend.

Curious why so many people are going through the verification process ?

Website says:
Being "level 0" has the following limits:
Traditional Currencies
Daily withdrawal limit (24hrs): 1,000 USD (or equivalent)
Monthly withdrawal limit: 10,000 USD (or equivalent)
Bitcoin
Daily Bitcoin withdrawal limit (24hrs): 100 BTC
Monthly Bitcoin withdrawal limit: none

Which of those limits is a problem ?

When I did the verification process, you needed to be verified to get your AUD in... not sure that's the case anymore, in fact looks like AUD bank transfer got removed?

"You must be verified to deposit funds by Australian domestic transfer"

Source: Funding options/Add funds tab

16000 in the queue

What a total Fraud.

E version of a chain letter.

I guess that's why there are rich and poor people.

Because there are smart and dumb people.

Sure, people whom support Bitcoin are dumb.

But who is defrauding who?

"E version of a chain letter." - Wow, you nailed it, clever one.

Stick with and support your Rothchild Fiat for currency.
It is what we are used to after all.

I say your the dumbass ;)
I don't believe in bitcoins , but I don't call of the people who are into them "dumb'
I just don't believe in them & at the moment I look dumb because I don't have any
And many others are making $ of them :D
So who looks dumb at the moment
You
Me
Or those who are holding/trading bitcoins ?
Yes I occasionally poke those people for a bit of fun :P
But I definitely wouldn't call them dumb ;)

:D
