BitCoin Future Prices

I'd be interested to hear what some of the profits that some of the early guys have made are... considering some of you bought in at $10-30 has anybody made over half a million?
I know nobody will really want to disclose... but it's just so fascinating to have watched this play out over the last year.

I decided not to buy in 2 weeks ago because I'm going to the U.S for 2 months in a couple of weeks... if I had I could have tripled my spending money haha!

My feeling is that crypto currencies could be close to dead within the week.

Once a mega crash occurs, very few will want to invest again..

I could be completely wrong - but just thought I should put it out there.

Best of luck to those holding - this is not an attempt to drop the price for me to re-enter.

Yep... unfortunately at the end of this it is very likely that some people may lose a lot of money.... hopefully they'll be able to afford it.

I told a family member about btc at around $60 and they declined to buy any because they were saving for a trip to Canada. They are still saving for a trip to Canada. :o

I have a price target of parity with gold.

At the rate BTC is going, 1 BTC will be at parity with 1oz gold by Christmas!

I'll make a prediction - BTC parity with gold by 11pm, 18th December :D

Big drop after insane run up!
Wonder where this one will stop.
Volume starting to look healthy again:

bought at 500, sold at 600, bought at 650 and sold at 750. now to buy in again me thinks. all aboard.

Insane!!!!, Bitcoin needs a few days now to cool off..I've personally traded into USD and will sit on the sidelines for a bit (I got a bit freaked to honest!!). I'll take a breather, before diving back in.
I've got a reasonable amount of money floating crypotcurrencyville so I have reason to feel the jitters...

Mate to be honest I reckon the next big run up (read bubble) is the one you want to be riding.

And if you have balls the one after.

I agree,...I'm bullish about Bitcoin for the long term. I'm now in position where I can be nicely positioned with some cryptocurrency, yet not in a position to lose any of my original AUD monies.
My crypto currency finances have jumping around various tens of thousands of AUD dollars/hours/day/etc insane!!!!!. I'm no big player, but I've been dealing with money of reasonable consideration. Ya, not for the faint of heart.
I want to support Bitcoin, I want it to work. It's main fault is instability, IMO. Ironically, my actions today have not assisted stability. It needs to go to great heights per/bitcoin to stabilise, IMO.

That's a big call! I think cryptos are just getting started, although I could be completely wrong also...

I wouldn't be buying Bitcoins or Litecoins today. Looks like a lot of weakness and another big drop or two.
Feels too much like silver when it was sitting at $35 and all the bulls said it was going back to $40 momentarily, so now was a great time to buy at a discount.
But the thing is that while it took months for silver to play out, Bitcoin could trace the same path in just days.
Talk about casino capitalism!

Haven't done any comparison but these sort of moves sound very similar to those of gold or silver in 1980

I agree. See this link:

http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/mtgoxUSD#czsg2010-10-06zeg2010-11-06ztgSzm1g10zm2g25zp

That was one month in 2010, mere months from the beginning of the chart. If you go through, there are many events like that. A turtle-humpin' lot.

So SS, why does 350% in a month spell certain doom for Bitcoin, when 650% in a month didn't phase it 3 years ago, nor any of the countless bubbles between that were bigger than this one? The alt coins are no different. Scroll through some charts and you will see amazing things. This is why hardcore bitcoiners don't care when people moan about the volatility imo. They love it. Bitcoin has volume and volatility, you can't ask for a more perfect market to make profit in, as you briefly discovered, but seemingly didn't fully comprehend. ;)

My belief is that this statement will go down in history (of SS) to be one of the most misguided statements ever made ...

The situation with PMs - where price is determined by unbacked/limitless paper - is very different to btc's and ltc's where the supply is very limited.

Once gold and silver decouple from the paper ponzi scheme then they too will find their true value - as the crypto's are about to do.

just my 2 cents worth
