Are there any ghost towns in Australia?

Since there is a lot of mining there should be some places where people used to find some employment and now it's gone. Those who own some property there should try to get a least something for it. They can sell it only to a rare eccentric like me with my special needs.

No real estate agent will waist his/her time on it. Especially considering they are payed a percentage of the price. But it doesn't invalidate the need of the owner.

I would take for my lot even $500 and transfer away any obligation to pay property taxes if it is all I can get for it. The market decides what is fair price. It doesn't make any sense that the lowest price is $50K. It must be something closer to $1.

Is there a way to find those VERY chip properties of this kind? Can anybody provide an actionable suggestion?

Thanks.

I remember in high school (mid 90's) politicians and media were saying Adelaide would be a ghost town buy 2010, and Whyalla was pretty much Ghost. Thank you China!!! (and loose credit!)

I've looked it up:

"As one of the largest regional centres in South Australia, Whyalla has all the facilities that you would expect from a city this size. From seven day a week shopping, educational precinct, sporting facilities and the fantastic boating facilities. Whyalla really has it all."

The same about Adelaide.

I guess I was asking regarding something VERY different. Something like a dying village, not a "regional center".
I am in need of a property for a virtually symbolic price. Something similar to a desert bush land but with a legal title.

he is a real estate agent that sells cheap land

Google has showed only an actor with this name. No real estate agents.

I guess it was some kind of Australian humor. I am definitely not good at it. :(

Actually you are correct. I was exactly thinking about Detroit but in Australia. Is there something similar there?

Do they auction property for unpaid taxes in Australia?

He is just having a dig mate, the reference to Ashton Kutcher is the actor, and he is specifically referring to his show 'Punk'd' where Kutcher would play tricks on unsuspecting celebrities, then jump out at the end and reveal that it was all a setup.

So essentially, he is saying that your question was so absurd that you must be joking, and any minute you will reveal that your kidding. And thats because... well... its a pretty silly idea to be burying your PM's on random land you dont own, in fact its an awful idea.

I agree now that as I've seen that there is a better option with getting some legal property my original idea was not the best one.
I mean the core idea to disappear my PM from a depository was and is VERY good one but particular implementation needed some working on it for perfection. I am sure I will get some property there. It's just a matter of time and effort.

This is why I had asked all of you for help. I think I've been making quite a good progress so far.

I am very interested in your query results, Mr. Sparrow. I am also very concerned about the collapse of the global system and the Fiat Brother would do. So far, I have been where I have 5 storage of food, tools and money supply locations. But I do not in Australia.

6 years ago, I started when I saw a crash on the way, my stored procedures, and if I did not prepare, I will get into trouble. The Brother is very dangerous.

I have assembled a who feel like me, like-minded group of people. Only in this way, we can fight brothers, this should wait until it is weakened by the financial collapse, and then use our wealth of storage, tools and food counter. We are not strong enough to go it alone.

If you are interested, I can have one of our agents contact you. I think you would be the most consistent with our plan and we have made significant progress, leave a deep impression.

This discussion is now getting weirder - if that is at all possible.
Interesting, beprepared's location was originally Australia, now it's secret. This thread is a living, breathing 007 novel

Thanks, but no, thanks.

The general idea of a group of similarly minded ones is a good one. But an implementation of it makes it very treacherous.
It could work out only with those who had known each other for a long time. Otherwise it could easily be a set up.

I am kind of a loner. If you know what I mean.

Suspicious and non trustful. And smart as a devil. :)

Thanks again for the honor.

Good luck with the "legion".

I expect to have crash of the dollar any moment. Though they, the cabal, are very smart and resourceful and it could last 10 more years. What's the rational to wait? Really.

Those German Jews, who waited for too long eventually had an opportunity to sort their PM out in a camp's warehouse. :D

I personally managed to escape 5 months BEFORE an empire collapse.

It seems now I will have to do it again, in a way, escaping from another kind of empire. Anglo-American empire of fraud.

mate - no use trying to even refer to the banksters - even indirectly as you have here. Very few here would even know what you're talking about ... and would just think you're a couple of cans short of a sixpack.

You know what you know, so just leave it at that. Just concentrate on what you need to do in order to protect your wealth and dont bother trying to explain your motives.
Someday in the future many others here will have their lightbulb moments too.

I am leaving the trail for those who will read it later. I like to give back something for the help accepted. It's a good karma thing.
Those who has ears will hear, some day. :)

mate - currently there is nothing in Australia like Detroit, but trust me - THERE WILL BE!!

there are a lot of shocks and reality checks in store for some of the smug people here ...

i think you should stick around mate - will be very interesting to see how humourous they are then
