Best looking gold coin?

I was surfing Apmex and saw they have a Mexican 20 Peso for consiberaly less premium than the 50 Peso and the 20 is .4823 oz, so a nice size and seems cheap for fractional at barely a $75 premium.

I dont think i can justify that 50 Peso at a $300 premium after seeing that! Seems backwards.

Premiums on 50 pesos in USA seem too strong across the board. Could buy them from Europe for US$2315 today...

Then again, I wouldn't sell my 20 pesos for less than 10% premium :D

$964.13 from Apmex and at .4823 of an oz, spot was $1855 so about $895 in gold.

Seems like a great deal for some old Mexican gold!
Its not the $25 premiums from back in the day but could be worse.

The 2022 Gold Eagles have a decent price too but they are kind of lame compared to the vintage stuff. At least for me.

2022 AGE looks more like a budgie. Compare that with 2022 silver PM WTE (also available in gold), that coin captures the majesty of an eagle.

If you want to talk about a classic design, then Una And The Lion is up there among them.

This particular coin is coming up for Auction in Sydney for an estimated $650,000.

So if you have pockets that reach to the ground and balls to match go for it!

Sold for $780.000 + 22%. And I'd say it went cheap. The auctioneer flocked off those rare proofs like they were yesterday's herrings...

Yes, it was a spectacle to behold.

A lot of the proof gold pieces in the Verene collection went for double and even triple the estimates.

And even some of the humble silver crowns made up to $100,000!

The decline in the spot prices does not seem to affect the top end of town.

You can’t go wrong with a Sovereign. But for cool value, it’s impossible to beat Louis Armstrong’s advice in St James Infirmary Blues:

“When I die, want you to dress me, straight-lace shoes,
Box-back coat and a Stetson hat.
Put a twenty-dollar gold piece on my watch chain,
So the boys'll know that I died standin' fair.”

Your question is one only you can answer. The best looking coin is subjective to the person making the determination.

I like the Gold Pandas personally which have not been mentioned and you can get them in bezels already. If you put a coin into a bezel you damage the coin so take that into account.

I also like the Pamp pendants and some of the gold bar pendants I have a couple of those that came in carded packaging. I have yet to wear them as I don't want to scratch up the proof like surface. Think of a 3 or 5 or 10 gram bar on a pendant..thats what Im talking about.
