Matthew 26:14 said:Presumably the 2oz and other sized Kooks will retain their value as only the 1oz can be reminted. Am I correct in this assumption ?

Can't speak for everyone, but for me, part of the point of having a numis/semi-numis collection is knowing that the coins are x years old - so now I will either have to dump the collection since I can't guarantee to a buyer when a coin was made, or split the collection in to known "original" coins and unknown or restrike coins. It's like having a 1938 Crown but then finding out it was actually a restrike from 1957 imo.hussman said:Kooks are a beautiful coin. But I dont understand why everyone is kicking a up fuss about the reminting. Well I do understand why people are angry, but there were meant to be 300,000 kooks, so let them mint upto that number. However if they minted say 1 000 000 instead of 300 000 then thats a different story and I can understand people getting upset.
So essentially, all the un-toned Kooks in my collection (since I bought it mid-late last year) could be made in 2010/11?Bullion Baron said:The difference between our totals suggests they'd minted an extra 88,713 coins over the period from the count you saw (possibly from late 2010, depending on the date on the PDF at the time) and October 2011...

F***ing sneaky bastards then.
They went through all this crap when the "revised" Series I mintages were released so they're just quietly updating the mintage stats and hoping nobody will notice.
