Bailing out in 2013, or are you in love?

Its quite possible that the trolls that discredit PM investing are paid trolls so my best advice to them would be to get a real job! If you have managed to preserve your wealth with PMs and thats all you did you are way ahead of the lemming population thats happy with 3% bank interest on their fiat.

I'm reading from some "out there" sites at the moment. Anyway, one site has suspended their forum because they allege that their site has been hijacked by the authorities. It's alleged that when you post to their forum it goes to a node at the authorities secret lair and you see the post, you see the authorities posts, you see past posts but no-one else on the internet sees them. So you're in essence talking with the spooks who no doubt are just compiling a database on you, maybe even trying to get you to say naughty things or to gain your trust.

It's plausible IMHO

Another site I frequent they've managed to out a contributor that is paid by a lobby group so this member posts with a 3rd party paid for agenda. Hell, my mates missus old job was to monitor the media for any references made about their customers so that those customers would know what is said about them.

So yeah, I wouldn't doubt that there *may* be some on here with an anti-PM agenda. Maybe even an agenda to discredit the whole forum :/

probably sell @ low 70s
of course a doubling in silver means a possible 3-4 times growth in some of my silver producing stocks i have money in on the asx.Leverage is better with stocks than physical.

Unfortunately if you bought silver to preserve your wealth at $30-$35AUD/oz during the last year, you're actually now behind the lemming population that's happy with 3% bank interest on their fiat.

Because they now have 3% extra, and you do not.

Silver needs to increase year on year at the same pace (or more) as real inflation to preserve wealth, does it not?

Exhibit A: A sales thread for 1kg PAMPS by a member who claims:

1) They do not value silver in $.
2) There is no price discovery in the physical silver market.
3) Spot price is irrelevent to phys silver.

I gotta hand it to you YKY... you have a good sense of humour, and I do enjoy your posts - they give me a good chuckle. :)
To your credit, you are just as good at taking shyte as you are at dishing it out.
Keep up the good work mate. This forum needs the whole spectrum, it would be boring without it.

Actually, silver has increased by 18% over the past year.

I think this forum has a very varied group of opinions, which makes it a vibrant community with many discussions and debates.

Some suggest holding 5% PM's as insurance, some suggest 100% as investment/savings (I doubt any on here would advocate 0% PM's - Strange forum to frequent if so!).

Some say real estate is good, some say it is bad, some say it is over-valued, some say it is an income producing asset with only the ROI per annum that matters for life-long holders.

If you think that there is too much RE talk on here, it is more than likely due to YOUR bias that they jump out at you more.

If you think people are too PM focused, it may well be YOUR bias also.

There is certainly no harm in diversification though. Nobody ever lost everything being well diversified.

(Or being 100% in PM's for that matter! :O)

If you notice that people pick out moments to buy / sell, then that already implies a bad / no price discovery.
It doesn't need your legal-style text. Just logic instead of your smiley serialisation.

Absolute rubbish and total BS..
This defines price discovery - they pick the moment to buy/sell when price is right - ie price discovery.

Oh, and just for you: :P :P :P :P :P :D

See that bold?
You just admitted what you denied.
A working price mechanism and wrong prices exclude eachother.
You're better in smiley serialisation than discussing.
But that's not new, is it?

Nope. I admit nothing. :P  :D
There are no wrong prices - just prices that are discovered by the market according to supply and demand.

Pirocco said:

I don't think you like discussing anything with me - just lecturing and arguing.
I like discussing and smiling. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :P

I don't have a price.
Because I bought silver as a get out from euro's.
I have no reason to go back to euro's.
I've done with them.

I don't know what it is on the planet Wrcmad, but here on Earth, a working price mechanism delivers right prices, and those high red candlesticks:
fut_chart.ashx

are corrections for... wrong prices.
And wrong prices can only origin from, as said, a bad or no price discovery.

So your denial is like.. kidding yourself.

I would not unload my stack in one hit. I would unload it in small parcels, because if silver increased that much, the world around us might look very, very different.

And I am hooked. I love looking at it from time to time. I buy mostly 10 oz Ainslee ABC bars, I have some coins.
