I like the delorean the best too, would definitely be one to go for if mintage was bit less. The best comparison might be the doctor who which if I remember correctly had a mintage of 10000.

I've heard far more people talk about Doctor Who than Back to the Future. Perhaps Lord of the Rings and/or the Hobbit? However, both trilogies are substantially more recent.
I'll admit upfront, that I could very easily be wrong on all this. However, I just find a lot of the interest in Back to the Future day feels manufactured to me. It's an easy to target, single day event.
This might have been asked before but are these one off coins or will there be a series?

I agree super fast sell out 1 day is not good, longer term 4 days or there abouts is better 
The Hoverboard is pad printed, just like every other Perth Mint coloured coin - no stickers 
Just putting it out there again - been a long time since a non-Lunar release crashed the Perth Mint website and sold the quantity that they did on launch day.

Pad printing is the direct permanent application of inks to the metal surface, one colour at a time. Permanently coloured as long as you don't try to clean them with paint stripper.

I like the DMC better mintage is maybe a bit high, hoverboard good mintage but expensive, I worked on a hedge type system
