I did not know that Alice Springs is home to a Asia / Pacific aircraft storage, maintenance (and return) plus a boneyard. Apparently the only one outside of the USA......and business is booming.

Last time I taxied from Devonport airport to the hotel we asked the taxi driver if there was anything interesting to do in town.
"This evening will be the first time we have BOTH ferries in the harbor, the whole town should be there!".

I never understood why they don't just scrap them. The raw material cost would nowhere NEAR approach retail sale price, but still...
