Australian Lunar Series II - 2oz Silver Proof Twelve-Coin Collection

Back to the secondary market only for me.
Let somebody else take the premium hit.

I saw on the Perth Mint site listed 2012 Silver Proof High Relief Four-Coin Set

Are they going to release previous four years HR version?

Should've sold my 3-coin dragon proof silver set for 1k when I had the chance :/

Oh well, glad I bought exactly zero Perth Mint snakes.

Australian Lunar Series II - 2oz Silver Proof Twelve-Coin Collection (excluding Europe)

Excluding Europe!!!

An amendment on the collector site!

"Maybe" Europe get an early release like China did with the Dragons last year!

Stay tuned for more exciting developments.

Hang on to your 3 coin sets because something fishy is goin-on! :P :D

If they _do_ go and release further 2oz lunar silver proofs into the market, I reckon there would be some very unhappy investors.

Previous 2oz proof lunars were fixed at 1000 (as part of the 3-coin set).

after the GREAT KOOKABURRA RE-MINT

next on the line after 2oz proof set

1oz HR set

1/2 oz proof set

5oz proof set

Proof Rectangle Four-Coin Set

Baby Lunar 2013 1/2oz Silver Proof Coin

12 - KILO lunar SET

wow the owner of previous kooks were pi**ed,

now the owner of the proof tiger will be next to get real pi**ed, or there is another HR tiger to be cornered, but can not be done without cornering the 4 set. :P

I give up. It is all too hard trying to collect Perth Mint stuff. Feels like I am walking on shifting sand.

This is quantitative easing bullion style.

With all these new innovatives, perhaps I should just stick witn 1oz standard bullion and non privy bullion lunar.
Have bought few high relief dragon, now PM re release at different set version so call HR set.

Proof Rectangle Four-Coin Set

i thought the normal Rectangle Four-Coin Set is a flop and now releasing the proof version?

Hi Lunardragon

Gets confusing when visiting Perth's web site because the wording varies from year to year, but the releases so far are proof rectangular coins.

Here's an example:

Rabbit

FOUR 99.9% PURE SILVER PROOF 1OZ COINS
Each rectangle coin is struck from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver.

Dragon
FOUR 99.9% PURE SILVER 1OZ COINS
Each coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality.

Cheers

Why does the Perth Mint even put a date on a coin in the first place. Minting a coin in one year and putting another year on it is just unethical. They can spin it any convenient way they want to but deep down inside they know I am right.

But Perth do make excellent proof coins, the lunar series 2 Proofs are my favourites, especially the Dragon and Rabbit. ;)
