Aussie dollar to drop below 66c - "benign" collapse ahead

I would not want to be shorting AUD at the moment it looks like it really does not want to go down, I wouldn't be surprised if it heads back to the highs of april at 78 cents

Over 76 cents again and markets appear to expect a 0.25 point cut from the RBA in 20 days (over 50% chance)

Wonder if the market is pricing in a cut?

Yeah, the RBA will not like this level of AUD strength!

I'm still waiting for this "benign collapse"
It did drop below 69c at one point, but then the rest of the world started collapsing faster than Australia.

AUD is looking like it's preparing to make a big move higher, 68 cents could have been a long term bottom

Well I'm kinda stating the obvious that 68 was a long term low in january 2016. A year and a half is already a long term in my book but what I'm really referring too is a break above 77 to 78 cents that will stick for a while, AUDNZD looks like put in a medium-term bottom as well.

I am anticipating these highs get taken out as upside targets.

Need 3 people to give me 2-1 odds
I'll go the AUD to be below 70c by june 30th 2018
My end 1 ounce of silver
Your end 2 ounces of silver
Just a bet for fun :)

REDBACK

I meant to write that time has shown that aleks seems to have a good grip on currency movements. Let me know when the low is in on the U.S. dollar aleks. I believe that is when things will start to happen, one way or another.

Usd has been going down for 5 months straight, I've got no read on the markets at the moment. For what its worth I only really focus what the markets are doing in the next few days and week or two tops. Lets see what US payrolls tonight and the aftermath next week brings.

"Usd has been going down for 5 months straight,"

Jim Willie's prediction of a local U.S. Dollar, (which will be devalued several times down to virtually nothing), and an export, - or international Dollar (backed by something substantial) for trade seems to be a real possibility, otherwise The U.S. will will not be able to compete with others for goods once the 'One Belt, One Road' crowd get organised. _JLG.
