G'day Stackers,
On offer here we have some historic Aussie pre '46 Pre-Decimal goodies. 1937 Crowns, 1927 Parliament House Florins, Shillings, Sixpence and Threepence. Sorted and bagged (well, the Crowns aren't
but they come with capsules
)
Auction finish 4pm AWST Sunday 2nd April...with the usual "5 minutes after last bid" official finish
All Lots starting UNDER Spot Price
(Only just but hey, under is under
)
*Just a note on that, anyone looking to see how badly devalued our currency has become just needs to think about the fact that a threepence prior to 1946 (they devalued by ~1/2 after then
) is now worth $1.50 just on it's silver content alone
didn't even make the transition in 1966
the Sixpence (that was six pence but became 5cents
) is worth $3, while those 5cent pieces have only just become worth 5cents
