But to dig a bit deeper on some of the offerings that are (for now :oops:) not receiving as much love let's start with Lot 1 (Olympics) :D

As you can see from the attached pictures the Gold "The Gymnast" and the Silver "The Champions are both slightly "overweight" o_O AGW - 0.55oz / ASW - 1.01oz

These were released for the 1996 Summer Olympics (held in Atlanta, USA) and celebrated 100 Years of the Olympic Games with only 7,642 Gold coins minted!!

There were only 27,488 each minted of the $20 Silver coins and the $20 Face Value (and 1oz ASW) makes them fairly unique in our Australian Coin history :eek:

The coins also have a Reeded edge with the lettering "CITIUS ALTIUS FORTIUS" (Faster, Higher, Stronger) :cool:

*As a side note, it's "WA Day" long weekend over here in West Oz and the Hutt River Province story has a special place in WA, and even really Australian, history* :cool:

Still Lot 1 & Lot 3 left at the Alter (Starter's Gate) unloved and forlorn like jilted brides (maybe a bit dramatic :p)...these aren't "scrap gold n silver" under spot items but beautiful, collectable and rare pieces of Australian coinage history o_O

Auction finish starting in just over 6 & 1/2 hour's time, Lot 1 (Under Spot :oops:) still looking for some love...Lot 2 barely over Spot for collectable Pandas...Lot 3 (Under Spot :oops:) also pining for some love, Lot 4 hitting it stride but still good value and Lot 5 still only a couple of bucks over melt value for historic "old school" money holders (would pair well with Lot 4 o_O)
