Are they selling out overseas as well??? the 1 oz silver dragon coins?

Gainesville does not even have the 1oz silver dragons listed on there web site anymore. They are likely busy figuring out how to gouge their customers even more than they planned to.

They were listed but not available the other day. Now they have pulled the listing entirely. From what I have seen of Gainesville in the past, they will likely withhold a lot of the dragons to help spike the price.

Still listed on Gainesville, just look under Bullion->Silver

Wasn't there an hour ago, but I do see it now. There are more items available, so they must have updated the page.
 
Gainesville and APMEX expect to have the 1 oz. available sometime within the week. I called to ask.

DCCPA, you sure have a lot of hate for Gainesville, but their prices are usually better than APMEX.

They price gouged on the ATB coins. I could hear the greed in their reps voice when I talked with him before the ATB coins were released. Then they packaged some gold coins the wrong way and they got damaged in shipment. The damage was solely due to the bad packaging method and not anything to do with the US Postal Service. When I called the Gainesville rep, he refused to take back the coins for a refund. Keep in mind the price of gold had gone up. He only offered to exchange them when new coins came in and Gainesville never ordered any more of them. So when they say that they stand behind their products, that statement is a lie.
 
I prefer APMEX because I can order and then send in a personal check,
and with a Platinum membership all orders are $10 postage.

If APMEX takes orders for the 1oz silver dragons next week
I might order one, or maybe none, I haven't decided yet; and
Why all the hype for the 2012 Dragon? The design is nothing
special, and the idea that they will appreciate in value like
the 2000 Dragon is...well, I don't think it works that way.

I only plan to get what I need to carry on the sets I am putting together. The HYPE is sure something though. But I think you are right about the price...they will surely appreciate, but I don't think as much as the original 2000 because the full 300,000 will be purchased and in the market as opposed to the 100,000 or so of the original. I've had good and bad experiences with APMEX, but I agree, the personal check payment option is nice.

I like the check option at APMEX as well, sent in a money order last Friday. BTW, do they really enforce the "check must be received within 5 business days" rule? I'm hoping mine will get there by this Friday, sent from Vancouver, Canada.

As for the Dragons, I was pretty excited about them but now I don't really care. Just ordered the set from OZBullion (10, 5, 2, 1, 1/2 oz), I'll keep the 1 oz and my brother wants the rest.
 
I am looking for that 1 all coin / round that I can carry with me every day. I think I'm OCD like that.

Right now i always have a maple leaf / grizzly bear with me. With the dragon I can just carry that all the time.

Until something new and shiny comes along.

I already pre ordered the 1/2 oz Dragons but I would like something bigger.
 
Maybe big US dealers are waiting for Perth Mint store(s) to run out? Then they can start selling their 'sold out at Mint' coins for a larger margin.
