Apmex flash sale Friday 5 hours only on American Eagles lots of 20

That is cheap right now!!! If I was not scared to buy online, I would get some of those.

I remember once one of my local dealers was telling me that he once saw Apmex selling American Gold Eagles for LESS than they were buying them back on their website (it was a short term sale like these ASE's). He said when he saw the Apmex rep at the next big local coin show he asked them about such "sales" and how they could get by doing that (the Apmex guys always have a booth each year), they said they do that to draw in new customers who hopefully will continue to buy from them. This is just hearsay but I trust the guy who told me this.

Based on wholesale prices and supply, they aren't making much on these ASEs for sure, but I guess that is a good way to bring new customers. Normally I find Apmex kind of high on some stuff, but I have heard their service, shipping, quality control, etc is top notch.

Just my opinion.

Not sure the reason on the apprehension Jim, and it's about what you are comfortable with, but I have purchased online several times with absolutely no issues whatsoever . You miss out a lot on variety and sales. As far as aninimity goes, there's currently no laws stating you cannot sell your purchases for cash or have that occasional boating mishap.

I bought one roll. They sold out though. I got in at 359.60 for 20 coins. I decided to begin stacking since silver has dropped. My last run was buying silver between 6-8 dollars and ounce years ago.

I'm an "instant gratification" type of person. I like to walk in with cash and walk out with metals in hand. :D

I completely agree there, nothing like a good show and cash in hand. Recently I've bought some of the 2oz privateer from provident. Had to go online to do that.
