Anyone collecting older U.S. coins like Walking Liberty & JFK halves?

Has anyone here been collecting these older types of U.S. coins? Where do you get them in Aus. (affordably)?
 
with the display pic change and the sudden interest in old american coins.. has uncle sam been getting to u? Oorah!
 
I have a few half dollars, but the problem in Oz is that these aren't junk silver but semi numismatic. There is no value for money unless you stumble on some cheaper supply better than the LCSs.

I just like the old designs and they seem quite affordable in the U.S., but expensive here in Aus.

Yeah, many are almost junk in the U.S., but here we only get the higher quality ones, I guess because of the cost of shipping them over and the limited popularity in Aus.

I do but I have layed off lately due to the shitty aussie dollar performance against the greenback
 
I used to into US junk silver especially peace & morgan dollars (cowboy money lol) - that is until that fatefull day that provident started the zombuck series, everything was fine until they came out with that hideous 'morgue anne' - this was the last straw hahah. I bagged it all up and sold it off as...

Well I'm a collector of the old silver halfs. I managed to get a roll of BU 1964 kennedys from Maggie on one of the apmex buys. It's one I will keep in memory
 
When we were at parity with the $US I was buying rolls from eBay in the US. No GST.

I have bought a few from members here at just above spot.

Would love to get a bag of mixed junk but it usually works out to be cost prohibitive.
 
I would also love some halves and quarters. I have a nice little collection of peace and Morgan dollars but at $30-40+ they aren't a cheap way to buy silver. I also love the old gold eagles (single, double and halves), premium wise (chaps a percentage) they are cheaper than the silver dollars normally so not a bad way to collect gold except for the odd weights. I only have a $10 but I love it.

Shame you can't trade 5/10/20 silver dollars for $5/$10/$20 gold coins any more...unless someone here is game? :)
 
I have a few commemorative half dollars mostly high grade and Morgan dollars. Have sold all Peace dollars and some of the junk silver.
 
I have a small collection of U.S coins I put together. Was trying to get one of each type of coin minted but gave up after awhile. Have some JFK halves and walking libertys in my collection aswell. I live in the U.S though so they are much easyer to come by.

Update- Here is a photo of my collection so far. Wish I could take a better photo but only have my phone right now
