Anybody Setting Up a Platypus Group Buy for 2013 release?

As I have not see a Platypus group buy for a while now, anybody thinking about getting one moving for the 2013 release?

Will be in the office on Wednesday (unofficially) - need to check the availability with the mint and work out what sort of premium we can do.

On the meantime, Gold Stackers has platinum unallocated, so you can jump on the spot price at any time.

Didn't know Gold Stackers did Pt. I just looked and it does not give a premium in the text. Given the current spot price it appears to be $30? When these are converted to coins how much is payable? Do you loose the $30?

Standard unallocated redemption - just the difference between unallocated at time of redemption, and the normal premium - so the $30 is prepaid premium. You only lose it if cashing out for fiat.

Will work out a premium for a group buy.
 
We currently only stock platinum in the Platypus and PAMP Fortunas, both in 1oz, so it doesn't make sense for us to offer gram sizes in unallocated - the accounting is much easier when we are backing ounces with ounces.
 
yes, of course. i imagine its not that popular either which makes such a scheme less feasable, but it would be great at say 1/4oz of unallocated

Does a normal redemption still qualify for the group buy? PE
 
Yep, any of the specials offered through Gold Stackers can use unallocated towards the redemption. People redeemed an ounce of silver for some of the 1oz snakes we did at spot in September and got a $2 credit for their prepaid premium :)
 
On the phone to the mint now - the 2013 release has been pushed back to February or March. 2012s remain available - has not sold out yet.

I thought that Ron said that they were already sold out when he gave the speech at the snake launch? He also confirmed the privy platypus to overcome the shortage.

Still keen for a group buy?
