Any interested in UK members bulk buy.

I have noticed a few near hate to buy silver in the UK and would like to offer an extra option. I buy from overseas on a regular basis and have no problem adding coins you are interested in to my orders, for a small fee.

If you let me know what coin you are after, I can give you an estimated cost of the coin, delivery and customs charge. Which should be cheaper than if you done it yourself as you wouldnt have to pay the large starting off delivery charge.

You pay me up front and I will keep you up to date on delivery progress and post to you once I recieve, at your own cost of course. I believe this should work out cheaper for you.

Let me know what you think, is this a good idea or do you think it would be to much hassle?

Interesting idea. Doesn't get around VAT though, does it? Or do you buy from within the EU?

It also adds a step / middle-man; brokers sometimes make things cheaper, but sometimes adding people to the supply chain makes it more expensive.

It doesn't get around the VAT no, but as US or AUS prices are alot cheaper, it tends to still work out cheaper for us. All UK bullion dealers have to add VAT and then add a %. Im willing to do the same, but at a cheaper %, because its really no big deal just adding it to my current orders.

How much you could save I don't know, but a saving is a saving. I don't mind doing a trial run if anyone is interested, maybe start off small and get a feel for how we can best benefit each other.

Ah, yes. That's what I thought the last time I looked - I'm a stacker with no numismatic interest. So I didn't buy but if you get some cheap ugly lumps in, I'll be interested!

What size would you be interested in, I have some Johnson Matthey 1oz bars coming. But I an get some bigger, uglier bars. :D

Just out of interest, how much would/do you pay for your silver bars? If I cant match or beat it kind of makes the thing pointless. If I feel I could match/beat it, this could really benefit other UK stacker/collectors and myself.

Well, I've generally been buying coins, although I have a couple handfuls of rounds from various places and a few 1 oz bars.

TBH, I'm increasingly put off by the costs (mostly VAT) of silver here and and leaning more towards buying through allocated accounts (with, therefore, no VAT) - much closer to spot and easier to 'flex' the metals proportion of my portfolio. So I'm keen to have some digital silver in allocated and some physical. Also been buying more gold than silver lately.

Also, now I have some physical silver, I think it'd be prudent - if I was going to get more physical silver - to buy a good few Britannias. That way, if the silver price does go to the moon, at least some of my stack will be CGT-free.

But how much do I pay? Well, I have to move with the prevailing price, but I try to keep it under 14.50 an ounce if I can, certainly under 15 right now, before delivery. Not possible with VAT and then you'd have to add carriage costs.

Which is why allocated digital silver / gold has its attractions, even though there is some counter-party risk.

I think the cheapest I'm able to get is around the 13.50-14.00 mark/oz before VAT and delivery get added on top. So with VAT/delivery I can get coins for 17-18. Which is really good for selling to collectors etc, but for stackers not so much. I am looking at gold myself, but in very small amounts. I guess this would be cheaper in the UK, but I haven't looked into it.

17-18 is the going rate I find for UK-sourced silver. Cheaper in Europe, but only if you buy enough to save, per ounce, on delivery.

Gold is closer to spot - only problem is the smallest meaningful unit is the half-sov at 100 or so. Allocated accounts let you buy by the gram, at 25 or so each.

I think for you personally this offer wouldn't benefit you at all, or others like yourself that are interested in stacking. I think collectors would benefit though, those buying in small amounts and those that don't like buying from overseas.

I quite agree. Good luck, though! Always pleased to see reliable sellers in the UK.

I'll keep checking on your shop.

Maybe if you gave examples of prices including delivery ?
My last recent order for Brits, Pandas, Maples & UK Lunar horses all 2014 averaged 16.98 delivered.

For small quantities of gold like one oz coins / bars, sovereigns etc you ought to be able to buy at spot + 3%
Larger quantities like 500g bars or maybe 10 x Krugerands you can buy at 2% above spot.
Shop around - but you need to factor about 9 per 2500 value for Special Delivery.

Hi Photonaware, I didn't offer examples because I will get anything, as long as its available. I would hope they have an idea of what hey would like, I would give an estimated price on coin/delivery/customs/VAT etc. If they agree, they pay up front and I add to order. It should work out cheaper than any online UK store.

16.98 average is very good which I would not be able to match delivered. Price of coin at 17 I probably could, but would need to ask for delivery on top. This was mainly for those not in a position to get the deals you and me can, whether it be because they don't want to deal with customs charges or just don't want to shop outside of UK. Most UK prices are crazy high, just offering another option.
