At a weekend antiques fair at blackheath 2 day that's in the bluemountains if you were wondering lots of silver and the usual wares when I noticed a woman scanning old tools and metal objects with some kind of hand held device it was beeping as she waved it around is this some kind of metal detector or what???? She didn't say anything to the dealer she just moved along to the next table ..wtf

Nah it was a small black box she was in one hand and I think it had a led screen on it it was beeping like a metal detector

Now I'm curious is there a small handheld device that can detect gold and silver? Would be nice to secretly take into the thrift stores I go into without looking like an idiot.
