added to my stack today

got the maples from silver gold bull (excellent), turtles from talisman coins, barbie talisman, kook (ioffer), wolf (ioffer), and the walkin liberty from the F15 world coin collection (second coin of 15)..

I've bought from silver gold bull, I only buy foreign stuff from then because I get a better price on maples at my local exchange (they don't foreign stuff).

I'm not familiar with talisman or ioffer, will have to check them out.

Edit: just checked out ioffer.com, I see a lot of silver coins on there selling for below spot, what's the deal with that?

Be very careful with ioffer.com

It's akin to your Chinese wholesale websites (DHgate.com, Focalprice.com, etc) where the bulk of sellers sell fakes of certain higher demand products (electronics, etc). With ioffer, IMO only buy from sellers that you can verify that live outside of the asian sector. I have purchased from ioffer before, once each form two sellers that I verified were from the U.S and who had a lot of positive feedback. Still, always use the "if its too good to be true, then it ain't true" rule. Selling around spot price or even just under might be ok, but anything really cheap... stay away.

Thanks Joe and I did a bit of research and found lots of horror stories about ioffer. I had a quick look at silver and some guys were selling 2004 1 oz silver pandas for $25 CAD, i knew they were going to be fake, even though they used real pictures.

hey, great addition
did you order online?
interested in those barbies for my daughter.

yep online the barbie one is 100$ but they are mostly sold out everywhere and hard to find i know that talisman coins has them...

Hey fellow Canadian stacker congrats on your purchase. Whereabouts in Canada do you live, if you're in the lower mainland in B.C. Like Diablo said there's the vancouver currency and. Bullion exchange they only sell maples, grizzlies, and bars though. If that's not conveient www.bordergold.com looks pretty good have a friend who's ordered from them and been very happy.

Silvergoldbull looks great I need to set up a PayPal account so I can order a Panda to see what all the bloody hype is about. Also want to grab a philoharmonic e ven though I find them a little ugly.

Bordergold has some great selection, but its $40 dollars shipping for my area which kills it. :o

Yeah I know depending on your location and the size of order silvergoldbull may be the better bet but if you want to buy 50 + maples or eagles they have a pretty good bulk rate and if you spread the shipping over that many oz.s you still come out ahead. Though for smaller orders silvergoldbull looks great. I've also heard a lot of positive feedback about them.

I buy most of my stuff at the vcbe when I have friends from the mainland coming out to visit I'll e-mail them funds when prices are good, or from West Coast Stamp and Coin in Nanaimo as it's my closest coin store. The guy there is pretty fair, maples are pricy but his round and bar prices are usually within a dollar an oz. Of the VCBE. I like being able to pick the coins I want out of a stack of them and he usually has a good selection of US and canadian junk silver. If you're in those parts he's worth checking out.

You can use interac online to pay silvergoldbull, it's easy and it only costs $1.50 per transaction. That's what I did a few weeks ago, only a few click of the mouse and done deal.

Also, just dropped a nice stack of cash at vbce, now I need to find a job ;)

Not only that, you can setup a online bill payment with any bank, which is free and no limit!

Whats a VCBE?

VCBE is the Vancouver Currency and Bullion Exchange they're in downtown Vancouver, Granville and like broadway and on No. 3 rd in Richmond near the skytrain station ( less than 5 minutes by train from the airport so if you're on a stopover, have time to kill, and money to spend check it out.) Not only that being a currency exchange it offers very competitve rates on all major currencies as well.
