A rare find - 1889 Carson City Silver Dollar

I think judged by the faint die crack running across the reverse’s top legend that the Morgan dollar was struck from the same die as SteelHand’s and is definitely genuine. Another telltale sign of its authenticity are the two slight die cracks below the “n” of “In God we trust” which perfectly match SteelHand’s. There is also a matching “S” die crack beside the reverse’s left wreath. In fact, there are several matching die cracks despite the coin’s worn condition. The Morgan dollar is more badly worn rather than harshly cleaned after rattling around in a jar full of other coins.

I had a little look at grading, and from what I read, it seems a bit difficult to get done in Australia, it would involve sending the coin to overseas. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I am an amateur at these things.

Yes, Probably will take about 6 months.

Is it worth getting Graded? Probably not.

Any coin that worth $1K or below , not worth getting graded.

People Grading coin to get Higher in Premium for Better Grades.

So if The coin are Lower in Grades probably not worth getting graded.

Unless, There are about MS condition.

Also do check The Population of Graded coins before getting them graded.
There are Stat. there.

An XRF can check if the coin is genuine.

Even A scale test. Size dimensions can conclude if the item is genuine.
