Saw this while window shopping on Apmex

The details not that great. And the price seems a bit steep for cooper isn't it? :/

I got some copper bitcoins and buffalos and the detail on them is great.

The labour component for manufacturing a relatively low number of kilo skills would exceed the cost of the actual copper. Copper buffs, on the other hand, are probably pumped out by the tens of thousands.

Then why not make them in silver, I would pay $140 over spot for one in silver.

I like certain copper products and certainly a product like this skull is labor intensive....but they could have done better in the design....it looks off somehow.

The other thing that would make it more enticing (for me) is if they gave it a good polish and sealed it up tight. Copper can turn dark ugly brown pretty quickly under certain conditions (oxidation causing tarnish).


I purchased a couple of sets of these cool copper dice a couple years ago when they first came out...see how nice and coppery orange they look.

The details not that great.

This "standard" skull design doesn't photograph/video very well at all.. Cooler in-hand, IMO.

But, understood it's not for everybody.

Then why not make them in silver...

Actually, holding them in your hand sells the product much better.. :lol:


I held out for the longest time before finally buying one. After getting it, I felt kind of stupid for waiting so long.

And I should add, I'm not exactly the biggest skull fan, in general -- nor do I take buying (Ag) kilo's very lightly.


I think the YPS Kilo Skull is freakin' dope (as is the 10-oz)..

And the kilo's coffin is just icing on the cake..
