The Don Quijote is Mexican, from the Casa de Moneta de Mexico (literally, the House of Mexican Coins), the Mexican National Mint. I've got a few and paid about $35 each a couple of years ago. It's a silver proof version of a circulating coin. Not real common, just have to search for them, I had a contact but it temporarily dried up.
If you want to see the most spectacular Mexican coin ever, here it is below. It is a representation of the Aztec Calendar, the coin is called Aztec Calendario. This is a 2 oz coin, it comes in up to 1 kilo. Can you believe the detail?
