In a previous life and when working retail overseas, it wasn't uncommon for customers to open their wallet and see 10 cards.

I remember a pair of really outrageous gay guys from London, they were so out there which is why I remember them. They just had about 15 cards each, held together with a fancy elastic band. They carried no cash at all and were on holiday.

I know lots of people for whom this is a great idea.
