Hi all. First time poster.

I got this coin from my LCS and I'm having a helluva time finding information on it. I've found plenty of info on the original half dollar and the 1oz silver variants, but I'm coming up dry on this 5oz.

Any help or knowledge would be greatly appreciated!

I've seen those at coin shows. It is from some series... it was a series of ship coins, and I'm sure Columbus was the big seller but want to say there are 6 or 8 in the set.

Google famous ships silver coins or discovering Americas silver set or ships Christopher Columbus silver or whatever. You could also try searching those keywords on ebay.

Worth spot in my opinion, but I'm sure someone will pay more. GL
