Be interesting to see what you guys think? Am i way over or under estimating or about what you would think?
Not sure how you got 1 in 2200 people, as 100/(5000/11000000) = 220000; any ideas?
I'd also
try and take into account the amount of people who have access to the internet. There's roughly
12.2 million internet subscribers (though, there's libraries, family homes and whatnot; but we often have multiple connections, phones etc.) - so let's just assume (again, ROUGH) 12.2million australians have access to an internet connection.
Basing on your stats, 50% of people are aged between 20 and 55, so that brings it down to 6.1 million. So that's 27% of the population. Of that 27%, we're assuming 5000 people are on SilverStackers. That's 0.08% of 6.1 million. So if you extrapolate that percentage back out to our entire population (to cater for those without the internets), you've got 17, 600 people, or roughly 1:1250 nationally.
Pure speculation on my behalf thinks your one in every 550 people is too high, but mine might be too low.
My maths isn't the best, especially at the end of the day, feel free to correct me (and explain why I'm a dolt and got 220000 for you).
