$5800.00 AUD gold

It had to happen, all 4 precious metals were going up too fast.

I am still buying stuff that I love or don't have enough of and selling my many surplus duplicate to fund those transactions, so the lower prices go when selling
is offset by the lower prices I have to pay for stuff that I am buying.

Its a win win situation for me regardless of which way the prices are heading.:)

Attention all stackers and dip buyers - a good buying opportunity will likely happen between October 1 and October 8. China has their Golden Week holiday during this time and the SGE/SGE will be closed. Historically, gold prices drop during the holiday.

I agree Oz. If prices drop over that period I might but a round or two!

Saddam can you please start a $5900 gold thread.

I'm new around here and don't want to ruffle any feathers by starting one myself;)

It's sitting just under at the moment but as soon as I see it at $5900.00 on the ABC chart I'll post a thread.

You'r welcome to post new threads as each metal breaches a new record dollar amount, it used to be a competition here back in 2011 to see who could be the first to post during that era of both metals climbing like crazy.

Ok, I am usually up till 3 or 4 am most nights ( a privilege of those no longer in the slaveforce ) so if it happens when most members are in slumberland
I will try to post.

Typically we should see a minor pullback or two prior to Christmas in gold’s quest upwards.

However, this rally feels totally different from previous surges. Currency volatility perhaps?

My gut feeling is that it will test $6000 before years end.

I agree on both the possible $6k target and the pullback.
Last minute buying, and Black Friday sales (people sell of profits for discounts)
However Chinese Gold week generally gets a bump, and US Gov shutdown longer than a week or 2 is generally followed by a bias to the upside in PMs.

Ive never seen so many people living in tents before.
Any city you go to it looks like National Camping Day or something.
Couldn't be related.

Not for the first time have I said here that if silver “Goes to the moon” i am not sure that I want to live through whatever events send it there.

What happened last time silver went to the moon ? Nothing.

Its really annoying when people make a big statement that doesn't mean anything and is just absolute bullshit.

Not a BS statement, bullion does tend to increase in value relative to fiat in troubling times. Battleships being positioned recently in striking distance of Iran MIGHT explain the sudden surge

Most here would agree that if precious metals go parabolic, something seriously bad has likely happened…. and most of us don’t want that.

You can always edit your post to "before the months end" or even "before the weeks end". LOL
