$34 silver !!!

The scary thing is it's just a matter of time before all the big players in the silver market (those holding hundreds of thousands/millions worth) start dumping all their silver at these massive profits and crash the market quite hard.... it's just a matter of how high are they going to go?

Us little players need to be quite careful in monitoring the market at this stage.

Been giving some serious thought to this myself. I have quite large holding in Perth Unallocated, I bought mostly 2006/2007, so my gains are already up over 100%
Only takes a phone call to sell, if market drops as people suspect it may - Say $10 - then if I buy back in at lower price I stand a good chance of picking up an extra 4,000 ounces for nothing.
BUT - I'm not normally a gambling type, and I'm not sure if I should - At moment I'm thinking of selling of Half my stack, as I see it I'm already 100% up so I'm in no danger of a big loss.
Opinions - Should I or Shouldn't I - I'm on the edge - Just not sure

Do what you gotta do, but personally I would want more than a "gut feeling" in order to sell any of my Ag at this stage. Generally, the market is always right so price is the best indicator, do you see something that looks bearish?

Fundamentals remain strong to me, also.

Ah finally!! its hit AUD34. I can break away from the computer and go to lunch. :D

Its been an enjoyable morning watching this unfold but yes I would also welcome a substantial correction. I'm increasing my stack as I can and don't mind the wait.

and where would 'they' move their fiat to?

Simply back into Silver... Cash out at $35, drop price to $25 and buy back and do it all over again.... simple. But for us, why would you want to hold when you can cash out and buy back same as the big players?

What I'm saying is, there's all this talk of everyone getting excited by a $35 price point, yet no one here is going to take advantage of it and actually sounds like people want it to crash back to $25 just so they can buy again. So really.. all this excitement is for nothing because to the players on this board it won't eventuate to any real dollar value for them (unless it does just keep going up and up and then you decide to eventually sell).

Not being negative.. just throwing it out there as it sounds like people have the wrong idea about it all :)

I think its because most of us here are stacking the physical stuff rather than paper, so we have the extra carry & premium to deal with. We need to wait for a higher price point to see worthwhile gains. I am hoping for the development of a new floor at $35

Oh, and I'm a #3 too. But its all gravy.

Exciting place for you to be, do you need the fiat or like to move to something else ? :)

What I see...
The problem... there will be a lack of silver to buy. Back in 2008 when silver crashed to $10' ish there was very little to BUY. I was calling my local shop everyday... and they had nothing to sell. I called for 3 plus months... then when silver was about $13 I did manage to buy some... but a very high premium. I have been trading silver and gold for more than 30 years... :)

Why do you think there will be ample supplies to buy?
Silver is a LONG term investment.
If you sell your silver then you will have fiat... that possibly will be worth nothing.
Would you risk that?
Currently the Comex can't deliver the silver... some are waiting 90+ days to get... they are offering to "pay you" NOT to take delivery.

let's see. if he sells his whole stack now at 33.74 AUD ... where S is his holdings and he stands to gain 4000 ounces if Ag drops $10 ...
S x $33.74 = $23.74 x (S + 4000)
$33.74S = $23.74S + 94960
$10S=94960
S=9496

is that about how many ounces you have?

I guess more specifically, is that about how much you were considering selling?

No - Been doing some heavy thinking - Have got a number in mind - If it hits that number will sell off about half, then buy back into silver if big correction comes, but also looking at maybe buying into gold
But Silver is still my prefered choice.

jealous really jealous where do u keep it ? draw a map & PM it to me lol good for you sticks u wouldnt miss a couple of thousand ounces but as some 1 else mentioned what u going to do with the fiat? the way its been going the last 18 months i wouldnt sell it .u be kickin yourself if it hits 50.

Lol. I just did a calculation and if I had put all my investment money into silver wow... I'd be a wealthier and happier man.

If I'd put it into shares like CCU at the same time I decided on PMs I'd already be a multi-millionaire. But I wouldnt have the stomach for the risk.
