I visited several retail bullion businesses in Melbourne today and some had no 1 Oz cast bars. Every business had a queue of 3 or 4 customers waiting to get in.
I don't know if they wanted silver or gold.

Do you think much will be available at lower prices?

After what I saw with bitcoin, I'm starting to doubt that gold is actually inverse to the dollar. If I've not recalled incorrectly, since 2018, gold rise when the dollar is rising. Perhaps a rising gold is actually due to Asian safe haven buying, and dollar assets are considered a safe haven.
