25,000 doesn't seem much if it's going to be an ongoing wombat series.

At least they have limited it to 10 per household, gives everyone a chance to get a few

Maybe it's a sequel to the Quokka (iconic Australian "marsuplials").

Much nicer that the quokka, also check out the rear feet only has 4 toes. Is that a mule ?

I wonder if it's in the same series as the quokka, the wombat mintage is 5k lower. Personally I think the quokka looks much better in person than it does in images.

I like wombats and was hoping for a while they'd do a bullion wombat but it's a bit cutesy for me - though maybe it looks better in hand. Either way I passed.

Where do you find the info that the Perth Mint retail arm only had 1,500 Wombats to sell?
Just checked and they are out of stock and today was only the second day they were on sale.
There couldn't have been a lot available even with a 10 per customer limit they are out of stock already.

I called and spoke to them. They had sold 178 of them by 10:15am AWST yesterday.

Wombat got more hearts than Quokka

BN wont have stock till early may at the earliest, thats when ainslie is getting dealer stock and if BN is lucky they may get theirs then. Otherwise its likely another LPM/Ainslie exclusive

Darn i was away from here when this was announced, forgot to buy it in person from the mint.

Online store is sold out. I think the retail front of the store would be.

I know several people who really like Wombats.
