Gold's going down, money is turning into crap, Bitcoin is a pile of worthless digits created by no-one knows who. How can you save your wealth BESIDES land, real estate?
What are your opinions?
I'm thinking of something closer to money and gold.
Perhaps we should start buying Seiko and Tissot watches (or more expensive brands). The cheaper models could be the equivalent of 15 silver ounces, that is something. You could put them away with the tag, well-preserved (if the battery doesn't leak).
Buy jewelry with high PM content? Not for the sake of stone, those are very unstable investments (diamonds are among the worst investments). Yes, with jewelry you overpay at least 30-50%, sometimes 70% of its "intrinsic" metal value, but at least it looks good, so people could buy it for that.
I would not buy smartphones or laptops, because they are fragile, lose value and they lose 30-40% of their value in a single year, especially if new models are released. Plus, once bought, they are considered "used".
I would never buy vintage art (it's difficult to re-sell). Could take years until you use old silverware or old decorative items. I think... correct me, if I'm wrong.
Buy bricks of pure copper and re-sell them at the scrapheap 5 years later? Might even gain a bit in price. Especially if industrial production starts picking up.
Buy whiskey, gin and other strong drinks (I know some of you are actually piling those up). Still, they're only good for gifts, otherwise most people don't drink that kind of fuel.
I just don't know gold, silver, fiat currency or cryptos can preserve wealth. The 2008 crisis seemed to have been more "humane", this one unfolding seems "gone mental".
