Cheers mate- don't know how you came across that but the pretty much describes( in detail too) every coin coming out this year by the Perth mint. ( wasn't aware that would be found in a government website )
Very interested to see some of the new designs. The ''what' definitely been answered anyway - now just waiting on when!

Bird Paradise, Emu, Swan, Super Pit, Double Dragon, koala, Kook, Mouse, Dragon/Tiger, Queen Victoria, Croc Mother and Baby, Bottlenose Dolphin, WTE silver bullion coins yet to be released. Welcome Stranger, Homer Simpson, and Moon Landing out already. That's 16 silver bullion coins in one year. More than one new release a month!!!
European retailers quoting sales starting 15 April for Swan.

When does the Bird of Paradise go on sale?
How many of these Perth Mint coin issues are produced for sole distributors located over seas and not available for sale in Australia through the Perth Mint .
It appears of late that the Perth Mint and now the RAM are excepting contracts from off shore dealers to produce Australian currency for their sole distribution .
The Australian collector is faced with paying a premium price and the extremely expensive shipping/postage costs when trying to source the issues overseas .
PM and RAM should be morally ashamed especially when they sell off , in some cases , our Nations icons , State emblems etc.
It can easily be resolved for the Australian collector by PM and RAM reviewing the contact terms and arrangements to hold back a certain percentage of the production .
I am very disappointed and frustrated by the Mints attitude and lack of consideration for us in Australia .

Also this year's continuation to the "Dragon-bullion" series revealed on Agaunews - the Dragon & Dragon
Says it will be available to buy from Monday, mintage 50'000.

There is a legal requirement for a certain % to be sold in Australia (can't remember if it's 5% or 10%). So you will find that all coins produced by the Perth mint that is Australian legal tender can be purchased in Australia.
They got caught out a few years back.
