swan proof will be released next month I see.I thought bullion will be released before proof.

If anyone is going to put in an order, I'd just like to get 1, maybe a few tops but I can't be bothered going through their entire registration process for such a small order.

Can't believe you need to go to the post office with documents for AML etc... just for a small purchase

I'd be very appreciative if anyone who orders some would be nice enough to message me and let me piggy back on top :)

EDIT: I'd like a 2018 WTE too :)

If anyone in Brissy is buying some emus, I'm down for half a roll. Cant be arsed with their registration process.

so who is the official distributor for the emu coin? ainslie has not listed it yet,same with bullion money. just saw the price on the perth mint website and its about as much as a lunar? wow

I think the price is actually very reasonable considering the low mintage, and the previous Swan price. I'm more than happy to pay $34, although if no one here can get them I dare say we'll end up having to pay more elsewhere :oops:

No idea on which dealers will be selling them in Oz - I checked all the sites earlier today and couldn't find it anywhere

We'll probably find out within the next 24-48 hours I'd imagine
 
seems like its gotta be at least 600 coin order to get the best price possible. who would be in? I just need to do a phone call tomorrow and we might be lucky(no need to go thru the mint)

just looked up WTE coin.50k mintage and much lower price? come on mint?whats going on?

with the emu Im trying to get to 600 coins to get the best price to help interested members.
 
I don't know about you..... to me comparing to the swan this emu design look crude
 
Wow that's the first time I've seen coins cheaper at the Perth mint, although they're out of stock now. I'm not sure with the current sentiment who's going to pay those prices. Or maybe I've just been out of the loop for too long.

I guess dealers have to make money where they can but it's a bit disturbing if bullion money is the sole distributor in Australia and they're charging those prices straight off the bat.
 
yes BM is the authorized distributor for the Emu coins and will be for the upcoming swans(if I heard it correct but would it change from last year),just as last year. same situation about allocation as with last year swans.almost all went overseas...therefore luck was not on my side this time,sorry guys
 
Got to disagree, personally, with some opinion. The swan may be a better looking bird than the emu, that was never going to be argued. But, in my opinion the emu is a better realised design given the bird they had to work with, too.
The design on the emu coin is better done, detailed, and more interesting visually. Full marks. And i will say i love the swan. Great coin. But to say this one is crude by comparison is just unfair and tbh, plain wrong.
