2015 Australian Kangaroo Silver Bullion Coin

So there would really be no way to know what coin would be the first ever minted?

But this coin would be one of the first 500 minted I guess.

And then the coin you posted would be a coin between 501 and 1000 minted

You are assuming that they packed each tube as they are minted and then each monster box as enough tubes are filled. They minted 300,000 of them so it depends on how many they minted before loading the tubes/boxes to clear room for continued minting.

I was considering buying koalas, kooks and kangaroo coins but it seems all I hear is bad news about Perth Mint. Should I just keep buying Pandas when they are cheap?

So, what about the 125 PCGS graded MS-70's ? After all, this is the coin everybody loves to hate which kinda makes me want to love it.

Old thread, but I have a question that some of you cerebrals may be able to help with.

I recently found a tube of 2015 1oz silver Red Kangaroos.

The mintage is claimed to be 300,000.

I have seen the eBay prices (inflated as they are) which astounded me.

So the question is, what are they actually worth these days?

TIA

No thoughts on this??

While official Perth Mint figures do show the max mintage to have been 300,000, at the end of the day it's a bullion coin and a Kangaroo to boot. Unless you find a collector who "has to have it" to complete his Silver Kangaroo collection it's probably worth standard bullion prices. Personally, I wouldn't pay any extra as it's just a weight stacking coin but others may have a differing opinion.

My understanding, and subject to correction, is that 250,000 went direct to the USA and only 50,000 for other markets including Australia.

Hence the valuation estimate request.

Fair enough, I wasn't aware of that but it's not something I've delved into
