To me, this is great news, there is always a silver lining to every setback.

This means, that more than likely the 5 oz and 2 oz will have a very low mintage, thus spiking the value of an already great value in this set.
who knows, the 5 oz and 2 oz could very well be in the low to mid 100's total mintage each

The mint is actually melting and refining inventories of existing silver coins from their vault in order to produce the silver proof Libertads for 2014.

This makes me wonder if they will have to revise previous mintage numbers in case they had to raid them??


I have total confidence in Choice Bullion, and will wait for as long as need be.

I have to wonder why they are having to melt existing coins in order to produce the 2014 proofs (I understand they have to use Mexican produced silver). Not complaining, just wondering if something else is going on behind the scenes.

This is exactly correct. The mint doesn't own the mines and China is buying everything they can.

That time frame is already a half month passed. If true, dealers should have received it by now, inventoried, and started sending them out to customers, no?

That is not the last update, update issued on 16th Aug.

The updated release estimates for the 7 Coin Sets & PL Kilo coins are now being pushed back to early September. We do believe this will finally be the last delay, but cannot guarantee it as we have no control over it."

I have forwarded you a copy of the email that was sent out on 8/15 with our most recent update. The time frame from that update has not changed and we are still looking at the first half of September as the updated delivery estimate.
 
Has anyone had an update from Choice Bullion recently?

I do not seem to get every email sent from them and was wondering if there was any update since 15/8 email?
 
There are big delays from the Mexican mint impacting not only this set but most of their silver bullion and proof products, I did preorder a couple of 5oz bu coins that were due to be delivered by end of August, now it's been delayed with no ETA at the moment.
 
We are still on target for right around the 3rd week of September, we have not been advised of any additional delays. The mint has completed minting the 1kg PL Libertad coins, which was holding up the 5oz proof coin production - thus holding up the sets.
 
Anyone know where we're at on these? Would be nice to get an update from the company since we've all been waiting so patiently.

We do not have them yet, we are just waiting for final confirmation and will send out the last email update this evening - it will be finally good news.

We have received another update in regards to the release timing of the 2014 Silver Mexico Libertad Coins.

We have received confirmation that Mexico will ship both the 7 Coin Proof Libertad Sets & Proof-Like Kilo coins on Tuesday 9/23. With this information, we expect to have the coins here Between Friday 9/26 and Monday 9/29. Once we have the coins, we will begin to process orders immediately.

We have also been told that this shipment from Mexico will be given priority of all other orders for silver proof Libertads also awaiting shipment.

Anyone got any update on this ? CB was supposed to receive the sets between Sep 26th and 29th.
