The company I bought them from isn't (Provident), but I was able to keep 5 of the 7. I'd stay away from them if you want to buy numi coins. Actually, I think all numi and semi-numi coins, where you pay a premium. Good luck trying to get an exchange or a refund, ESPECIALLY on what they deem a 'bullion,' at atronomical prices. Just a thought.

There is 2 big white spot at the mid top of the china wording. Big china coin tend to produce white spot after certain period. Generally, I will grade it.

Can you disclose the price of your 14 kg panda?

I bought the 2013 at USD1150

No, those spots are on the capsule. :-)) I can assure you of that. Otherwise, I'd return it. But, I don't doubt that these develop spots. I'll be unloading most of them, now that I know this to be true. I'll unload when the U.S. suppliers run out...or better yet, when Provident Metals run out. I can't take a chance of losing the premium paid. I'd rather go to ole faithful, my Perth mint kilos. Should ave stuck with my plan. However, when I saw these at Provident Metals for 1,075 (including shipping), I got bamboozled...sucked in if you will. Mistake.

I paid 1,075.00 for these at Provident Metals. I'll trade you one of these for a 2013? :-)
 
Indeed it is cheap at 1075 USD for 2014 proof kg panda with box and coa. It cost far less if no box and coa.

5 oz and kg panda always have issue at coin edge with light purple/brown tone. However, it is all good.

I will graded the 2013 Kg panda instead of trade because I only bought 1 pc :)

'it cost far less' withouth box & coa. How much less? Also, who would buy without box and coa? how would one know if it is authentic without these? I know I wouldn't. Yeah, 1075.00 is a good price, but you get what you pay for, and provident metals hasn't been the easiest to deal with if issues ariise. I ordered 7 of these, and returned 2 for exchange, and it wasn't easy. But I like these Pandas. They are very nice. I can't wait to see the 2015. I'm not sure I'll buy the kilos...I may, if the price is right. :-)

As people have mentioned before, DYOR and if it's too good to be true it probably is. Take caution when buying. good hunting =]

That's what sucks about ordering online, right? you really don't know what you're buying. It takes faith. This is why once you find a good dealer, you stick with them. In my case, it's APMEx. :-)

It will be 100 to 200 less without box and coa. I will buy it if I know the dealer well and send for grading.

Keep me in touch for the 2015 kg panda since you have my personal email. I might get a reasonable price if buy more quantity.

Man, I'm on ebay looking at the price of some of the Panda Kilos, and they command a serious price tag. I know most of them have very limited mintage numbers. Heck, even the 2014 is asking nearly 1,500.00. If someone had the kahunas, they'd just buy the supply from Provident, and sell on eBay, and pocket 200/300 (after fees). I say kahunas, because, Provident will probably unload kilos with nicks, scratches, dings, stains, spots, tarnish, etc...good luck with that. LOL. I know they're going to pawn my 2 that I'm returning off to someone that 'won't notice,' or won't care. Good luck with that. :-)
 
Provident just upped the price to 1331.00 from 1070.00. Big jump. Looks like I got a good deal on my 8 Panda kilos.
 
So Barsenault can sell at 1250USD.

JDM - Do Perth Mints, RCM and others KG coin no white spot ? lol. Either you like it or not it is a matter of life. Milk spot of KG coin not apply to China coin only.

Me no sell for many, many years. I sell for 10,000. :D


I have 5 kilo Pandas, ZERO spots. :-) I should be getting one more for a total of 6. I returned 2, asking for my money back, but they may send me 2 more instead, so I have have a total of 8. Not sure.:/
 
Have to store them properly to ensure no milk spots/toning develop over the years.

yea, I think all mints have spotting issues, but as far as im aware: perth mint/lunars tend to have less spotting issues than pandas.
It's a natural process but we like to have flawless coins ae

but not many beautiful mirror finish 1kg other than the pandas.
I'm looking into the mirror variety alot these days as I've set a goal to get a 2000 1oz mirror.
 
As you say it is nature process so end of the day spot will find you lol. So better not buy.

I do not careless since the kg will send for grading.

I use coin armor zip bag plus electronic dry cabinet which spot also find me lmao

Lol. I do sent majority of my proof kg for grading but still spot even give them the first class attention and caring. However, the spot always find their home.

So JDM shall no buy any kg proof because he spot put him away.

I do care less of spot after grading. Spot is unavoidable for big proof coin.
