2014 Great White Shark from Perth Mint - 1/2oz Silver Coin

I remember reading about these a while ago. So long ago in fact I forgot completely about them.

Do you know any info about these? I can't seem to find anything on the perth mint website, but maybe I am not looking hard enough.

If they make a 1oz coin I will buy some. I think they make the tubes so that the external size of the tube is the same for both the 1/2 ounce and a 1 ounce coin, only that the 1/2 tube ounce has an inner moulded part to hold the 1/2 coins in the middle.
 
Ampex told me that its exclusive to Ampex, and limited mintage. But they don't know what the maximum mintage is, or how many per tube.

I'll check it out when I land. It's not working for me. But that's okay. I will get you whatever you need, any time you need it! And these guys are faster than Provident...not a ton, but some. :-):o

Thank's, I might shoot you a message monday then, when Apmex releases them on pre order, should know then if they are going to be cheap bullion, or over priced.

YouTube video was removed, I guess the guy who uploaded it wasn't supposed to have done so, probably [used] to work for Perth Mint. Ha ha

Well. Its definitely more than 10,000. Can order up to that amount.

Anyway. Don't really like fractional coins.

I don't know why dealers believe that exclusivity adds any value to the consumer, it just allows the dealer with said exclusivity to more easily rip off the consumer. :rolleyes:

My bet is that the mintage isn't set yet and will be determined on how well they sell. Low is all in the eye of the beholder, it can be 999 or it can be 1,000,000.
