Hi All,
Hope everyone is well and happily collecting numismatic items.
I haven't been posting much these few months because i have been busy with a new edition to my family, being a new dad for the first time can be very challenging.
As i have just put the new bubs to sleep i thought i would touch on this new 2014 AIATSIS 50c none coloured Circulation Coin. Thou this coin was announced for release a few months ago it has not hit the market until very recently.
So whats good about this Circulation coin.
- only 2 million coins will be produced
- The most collected modern coin in Australia is the 50c pieces
- Nice design
but the most important aspect of this coin is the 2 million mintage and the challenge of the hunt.
I have notice most of the AIATSIS 50c pieces are coming from QLD state, so if you are in QLD look out for them its well worth the hunt.
With all Numismatic coins condition is vital to retain a price higher than the face value, so looking for them when they are still uncirculated may return you a decent profit in the future or near future.
I believe collecting should be fun and enjoyable, if by chance you can make a $ out of what you collect its a added bonus.
happy hunting
P.S before you ask, all 2 million coins are going into circulation you will need to hunt for these as dealers cannot buy them from the mint
