better to make 1 mill than pump out privys as it gets a bit confusing trying keep up with it all hope that's the case up the normals and dump the privys

I won't be buying after reading this:

The 2013 1oz Australian Kookaburra will be the first to have a mintage cap of 1 million coins.
The decision follows the expansion of the traditional 300,000 mintage to 500,000 for 2012. Despite the added availability, this year's 1oz silver bullion coin sold out remarkably quickly and so we've taken the bold set of doubling the mintage.

Cue kookaburra laughs coming from the PM marketing office... They should focus on replacing the koala with a more appealing coin and scrapping all their rubbish releases.

Poor form.
 
Eww the kookaburra looks cartoonish and seems to be heading towards the koala in quality... :| seems like detail is hard to keep in a 1m + coin

Eh? I thought it was 500,000 for both 2011 and 2012 (i.e. 300,000 was for 2010 and earlier). Am I mistaken? That quote seems to suggest the increase to 500,000 occurred only in 2012.
