HI Stackers and Collectors,

i am hoping someone can give me some insight on if this is a good coin to buy. I am interested in Pandas and have 7-8 graded 68 & 69's with a few Raw ones.

Anyone know what the cost will be if i am buying one of these at the ANA show this coming week?

I am planning to go take my Wife and Son and could only get them to go if i promised to take them to Sesame Street the day before the show. I am mainly going to this show so i can buy this Panda coin and maybe a few other pandas.

I saw the Ad from Panda America that they will be selling these at one of the booths i forget which one....can somebody give me some insight on this coin and if it is worth taking the trip to buy one or more of these? keep in mind where i live you cannot buy Pandas anywhere and if you do find them they are way overpriced and low grade like MS-60 or MS-62 at best.

what do you stackers & collectors think?

Hey man thanks for the reply....what happened with the Singapore fiasco fill me in?

I always wanted a Silver Panda that was released for the USA for one of the shows and actually wanted the Pittsburgh one but its very hard to find and the cost is very high for me as a rookie panda collector...i am a stacker with some serious cravings for numismatic silver on the side.

i have been buying up every panda i can find in high grade or at a good price from a reputable source.

Hi Silverbulldog,

I suggest you buy one of the older ANA medal issued by CGCI. Those are good.

This 2012 ANA issue has silly mistake, and amazingly nobody like to admit it. It is going to be a laughing stock if you show it to someone with some basic understanding of Chinese.

I would rather wait and hope MCM floods ebay with some NGC PF 69s and hopefully pick one up for below issue price.

I appreciate your advice...one of my problems is i don't buy through ebay and for something special like this i can afford to spend a couple extra bucks if needed.

Anyone have a rough guess on what the issue price will be for one of these? Do they allow you to buy as many as you want?

Silver, would you be interested in getting one or two for anyone else?

I would love to do my part to help out some fellow stackers but i do not sell any silver i buy. I have no way of accepting payment unless you were local somewhere in the East Coast of the USA.

Silver, I am in Charlotte, that is pretty east coast no? ;) I shot JC a message about getting a couple for me, so I should be covered. Thanks though!

I wrote in an earlier thread that i don't much like the look of this coin ... I retract that statement, the actual coin looks really nice going by the pics on the ANA site (The one JC8=8 posted a link to).

I hope MCM get their hands on a bunch of these.

I am going to try and buy a sheet of 10 for something less than the issue price , if I am successful ,anyone who wants one can have it at my cost + $5 plus shipping............................. I will report back 8/8/2012

Jc, if not you want to take orders for one for me, or just recommend I grab one on the website on Tuesday to be safe?

do you think there will be a big line to get these suckers...my wife and young kid are not as into coins as i am so i am thinking i will go early to ensure i can get as many as i want. I feel like a little kid waiting for the new game system to come out so i will be camping outside all night in hopes of getting the goods.

If you are looking for the 1oz , imho there is no danger of a sell out.

i think ill grab a 1 oz but i really want a 5oz as well.

silverfever or any of you other vets can you tell me what other Pandas i should be looking for.

i currently have a 1989, 1990, 1996, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, & 2012

i need to fill some gaps but don't want to spend $250+ on single coins until i am a multimillionaire

any suggestions other than the ANA metal i should look at getting this weekend.
