2012 kookaburra coins

Have been watching 2012 Kooks selling on fee-Bay in Germany all week

All of this talk about the new Kook is making me regret my 2011 Kilo kook purchase. ( Thought the Rabbit was a better looking coin...now the Rabbit sells for more than the Kook)
The new coin isnt bad, but a previous poster is correct. It looks like they hired the artists from the Angry Birds game to help with the design.
From an investment standpoint, what coins do you see being the better choice 1oz Kooks, 10 oz Kooks or go with the Dragons in 2,5,10, kilo sizing? I know the dragons are hot right now, but with not set mintage numbers except for the 1oz, I am wondering if in a couple years the 2012 kooks will be more sought after than the 2012 dragons.
Any ideas?

The price to expect is based on weight alone so don't get overly concerned about which coins to buy.
Shifting 32 one ouncers might be more satisfying than parting with a single kilo coin.
I kind of like having various sizes to show friends but once the novelty of having a door stopper kilo coin wears off it's back to one ouncers and lots of them !
Of course if you can sell to numismatic collectors then that's a totally different ball game.
I've also noticed that rare e.g. only 500 minted doesn't automatically mean a higher price - that's set by the demand and there is often no logic in pricing.

You said They won't sell out very fast - I entirely disagree, other than the Dragon 1 oz, the Kookaburra is the next coin to chase (if you value an investment with the greatest ROI). Id give the Kooks til the end of September.. investment demand is surging.. once ive given up on 1 oz dragons (a matter of days).. it will be straight to the 2012 kooks.
Gainsville and Ampex are both primary and secondary bullion dealers who like to have a full range.. they also like to up there prices at any oppertunity.. this may mean stock takes a while to clear.. dont confuse this with primary bullion dealers selling out of product.. or else the term SELL OUT would not apply to anything available through gainsville or ampex... this would very much connfuse the issue.
They Sold out fast (ish) last year... its not like we have the dragons to buy instead is it? ie: soon the only competition to the kook will be the non 1oz dragons in unlimited supply.. ill be stacking the KOOKS
Im calling sell out before Oct (at normal non-gouging premiums)

Perhaps I'm over reacting but my expectations were really low from those pictures, pleasently surprised.

I have had a couple of rolls of 2012 Kooks for about 3 weeks.
Ordered Sept 01 and in my hand a week later.
I bought them in Germany.

I got my 10 oz and 1 oz 2012 kooks yesterday. I can honestly say for the first time that I am disappointed. The 1 oz. all were in the capsules and sealed in little wrappers, but the capsules all had dust particles in them, one of the birds had a big smudge/scratch on its chest and some others had other minor imperfections that I've not experienced with previous new purchases. Seems like the Perth Mint might be falling short on the QC trying to keep up with demand?
Still a cool piece of silver anyway, especially the 10 oz.

Are they sold out?
I am getting a roll soon, i have a couple already and one with that smudged chest also as the above poster says, a little annoying.
I like the coins, but have not seen any others as i am new to buying.

I ordered mine around the same time and received notification that they have been shipped today...
I reckon 2012 1oz Kookaburras will be a sellout in a matter of weeks.
