2007 Koala 1oz silver Specimen Coin Illustrated Presentation Card

Hi SS. I would like to ask couple question regarding Koala Specimen coins.

This is all final mintage of these coins according to PM.

2007 FINAL COIN IN CARD MINTAGE: 3,060
2008 FINAL COIN IN CARD MINTAGE: 4,601
2009 FINAL COIN IN CARD MINTAGE: 6,292
2010 FINAL COIN IN CARD MINTAGE: 2,752
2011 FINAL COIN IN CARD MINTAGE: 11,865
2012 ???

So the 2010 seems to be a key date for Specimen Koala coins. Am I right?

I tried to get them all, but some how I can not find the first 2007 koala until I found this at ebay

My question is: Is this original card of the 2007? (because PM shows different picture)

I would really appreciate photos of 2007 koala in card if you have one.

That is a Bullion coin, straight off the top of my head. Not what you are after ?

I believe that Downies or another company issued their own cards with regular bullion coins embedded - the one shown may one of these aftermarket cards.

From memory that particular card does have the Perth Mint logo on the back


The really rare one to get is the 2007 Koala Berlin Coin Show card.

That is not the 2007 carded Koala that you are looking for. The 2007 Perth Mint carded specimen is the semi-key date as the 2010 actually has a lower mintage as silvercoinshow has shown. The 2007 however is the hardest to find. I have all of the years except for the 2007 and have been waiting for one to show up. I have 2 of the 2010 and would trade + cash for anyone willing.

The 2007, 2008 & 2009 Koala's are the sickest coins the Perth Mint has ever minted imo. I have top koala set registry at pcgs too

Can someone from the Perth Mint clear this up once and for all as to which 2007 card is the offical release?

I found only two listings of 2010 Koala coin in card with the lowest mintage of 2k+.
Is this price too high? $129.99 Since we know that "Specimen" coin called by Perth Mint is no different from Bullion Koala coin.
Perhaps this mistake will drive price up for all Koala coins in card?
