$200 gold coin 10 grams 22 carat gold issued by RAM

Greetings,
I'm interested in understanding the best ways to purchase this coin. In particular I have concerns that such a coin would be the ideal target of counterfeiters. I've seen ebay auctions ranging from suspicious to outrageous.

I noticed a post for 4 of these for sale by a forum member but didn't bid because I wouldn't be able to verify autheticity?

Which Sydney dealers could I purchase from without any problems. Any other online sites?

How do I verify autheticity? I can't see a seller allowing me to perform destructive tests.

Thanks in advance.

One of my favorite fractional gold coins!
In Sydney, you are guaranteed a 5% premium when you sell them so the buyer of those coins did very well.
If you can come to the meeting tomorrow, I will bring a kosher one for you to have a look.

I've never heard of a fake?
I too, love these coins and have picked up numerous at spot, from keen sellers.

Yes, it's easy!
Location and time is correct. Less than 50 meters from the cop shop

Hi, I have just found this forum.
I am sorting through my elderly mums belongings and have one of these coins in original case and box, I know it is genuine as I remember my Dad buying this and other coins at the time.
If I decided to sell where would the best place be to go? also does anyone know how much it would be worth? Thanks....

I have just realised I have 3 of these, two are in a blue pouch and one is in a brown case with a card that says Proof 1980.....so these have a different value?

Worth 5% above spot if you are located in Sydney

Where in Sydney do I go ?
Gold buyer behind Woolworths at Town Hall.
Otherwise come to the Sydneystacker meet on Wednesday at noon.
Someone will probably buy it off you or introduce you to the gold buyer nearby.
I personally don't like selling nice coins to him as he will melt it down.
If you can get the same price then offer it to your fellow stacker instead.
