2 Unfolded $5 Polymer notes in order

I Recently acquired 2 five dollar polymer notes and 2 of them were unfolded and in sequential order...made in 2007
serial numbers: DL 07411727 and DL 07411728
I would like to know more about them and the price...because im more of a silver stacker rather than a note collector
 
You have what is called a general (prefix)issue, the fact the are consecutive holds some premium. However not a lot and as they are 2007 issue they are still pretty fresh. The book value is $10ea which is really a dealers estimate of a list price. You would be trying to pick up on ebay or something for a lot less. 2 x $5 Consec notes I would say about $15 tops. They are a new combination Stevens/Henry so depending on how long the Government stays could dictate some increase.

Keep hold of them, put them away for the kids or something and they may be worth a little more in years to come.
 
I took out $60 dollars from the ATM yesterday, the 3 $20 were all consecutive the were also 07s. I guess I shouldn't have spent them then. Maybe I will try the same ATM tomorrow.
 
Franko $20 are a little less common just due to the denomination I would have gone and withdrawn another $60 if it was me :)

I tried the same ATM this arvo, took out $80 and got two individual pairs.

I'll just keep'em with my stash, with a bit of luck maybe one day I will get a better return then what I would have got from bank interest.
 
I have about 30 $1 notes, unfolded and consecutive.

Bought just before they scrubbed them back in the olden days.

In envelopes for the grandkids when they FINALLY grow up!

How much are they worth?

In order to value notes, you need at minimum the signatures and the prefixes. Take a look and post them.

Australian notes are made from plastic, not paper so the original poster was saying they were the new plastic notes not the old paper ones that were replaced in the 80's or 90's
 
I've got a couple of polymers that I thought were worth something but have had no luck. A $50 serial number AA07 and a $100 AA03. The info I got was that they had to be perfect condition or they are worth face value. Then are not wrecked and in good nick but they are circulated. Any thoughts?

unless the the $ 50.00 is near uncirculated is worth face value , they stopped production of the $ 100.00 in 1999, and only started to produce them again in 2008 . or was it a AA 08 prefix
 
It was definitely earlier than the $50, which I have on me. Maybe it was a 97.

Edit - it is a 96. I only had these out last week. Damn my terrible memory.

There is some premium in this but again value will depend on condition. I would expect more than face value that is for sure, how much ? That's when the condition comes in.

Depending on number of folds, general dirt conditions, bent corners and how fresh the note is will have an impact. It is a good keeper IMO and likewise for the $50

As mentioned to the other poster you really need to identify the signatures and numbers used. Generally 100 bills all sequential will be UNC so yes there is a good premium involved, if they have the original band that is good also. Have a look at the sequence #'s you have, there may be better options in splitting them even.

It's polymer I could wash it and then iron it under a cloth or something. Would anyone know?

WARNING - DO NOT IRON POLYMER!! Itll shrivel up i bet...i used to be a printer on such substrates...polymer dont like too much heat...be careful, itd be risky id say
