hey all - can someone confirm the london pm gold fix for december 30 2011. there was no fix on 31st. ...however i cant find a fix for the 30th???? please direct me to a firm number...cheers

hi all - London PM fix for gold on the last trading day of 2011 (being the 30th dec) .....was only FIXED with an AM result. THERE WAS NO PM FIX so we will go with the morning FIX of the same day.....unless someone can direct me to a PM FIX

HIHO.....I will PM you regarding the delivery/meetup/handing over of my prize.
it hasnt really been discussed - but is it worth a meetup for those in Brisbane (sponsors of this comp)..to do a local handover of prizes to HIHO??....i have not co-ordinated the collection of prizes or addresses for HIHO re mailing to his person. unless there is no local interest - individual sponsors could do their own post out to HIHO???..any other thoughts ...i suppose HIHO can police an honesty system to make sure he gets is well-earned prizes from each of the sponsors????!!!!!

on the same lines as this competition.......... is there any interest in doing another one??
I am up for another one, however probably better to do a weekly one, where the bids have to be submitted during the weekend ( market closed ) until next week's close.
It would be much easier that way.
and maybe do a 4-6 weekly comp.
and use closing prices on SS.

Maybe we could include some kind of 'best 10 out of 12' or something similar so that if a person misses a week, they won't drop out of the comp all together.
It just seems a lot of people forgot to post their prediction on time one month, and then just decided to stop playing since they were completely out of the running. I'd be great if we could work out some way to encourage people to continue even if they miss a deadline.
Another option would be to give all non-predictors the same points (the lowest points after all the predictors have been awarded their points). For example in the last month of the last comp, everone who did not guess, gets 53 points for both gold and silver, so 106 for the month.
Of course i would have preferred the to drop my first months points. =D A rather average 65........ :O
