Hi stackers,

Is having a serial number on your bars better than having a highly liquid coin, what do u think?

Pros and cons of JM bar pro serial numbers con boring to look at ! pro lower premium compared to the maple leaf. Pro LBMA recognised!
Pros and cons of Maple Leaf Coin Con no serial number pro great to look at con higher premium than Matthey Bars. Pro Internationally Recognised!

Both highly liquid :)

As for being a full time tight arse lol i think I probably go with the Bars cheaper.

What do all you other stackers think.
 
LBMA recognise 1000oz bars - not 1oz bars.

The legal tender status of Maples makes it a federal offence to handle counterfeits, whereas no-one seems to care about fake 1oz bars.
 
Pros and cons are different for different poeple depending on their reasons for buying

I see internet adds for smaller bars that say LBMA endorsed/approved etc etc.

Are they false advertising?
 
The maker might be on a list of LBMA recognised refiners - but LBMA deals with ~1000oz bars. Look up the Good Delivery specification.

Depends what you mean by "better". I think it's just a matter of personal choice based on your own circumstances. I prefer coins.
