Hahahhaha seriously? Do you guys come here to talk about silver or just to start pointless conversations that are made up? Who is hating? All i wanted to clear out was that the website is very unprofessional. Of course evert web developer likes open source but if i have a business with expensive items i would want my code to be private and secured for my customers. Open source can be easily hacked.

Going off topic here, but just for clarification:

Open source hasn't been proven any 'easier' to hack than proprietary code. Just because the codebase is open to the public does not mean that the code should have vulnerabilities which makes it easier to 'hack'. 'Hacking' is all about finding weak spots in code, which can appear in open source or proprietary developments. Just because someone can cruise through Github to try and find faults in popular repos doesn't mean it's 'easier' than cracking open a licensed bundle. If open source was so 'easy' to hack, why do over 70 Million sites in the world rely on Wordpress?

Magento, one of the worlds leading eCommerce solutions is open source. It's used be nearly 1% of all websites (and considering there's a decent percentage of all websites which aren't using a cart, that's a decent chunk). If it's so insecure, why on earth would Nike, Nixon, Dick Smith, Men'sHealth, Toms and a whole lot more use it?

Open source exists to let the community build and perfect a product. Open source should, in no way, be linked with 'unprofessional'. Yes, the OP's site is unprofessional, but it's better than a lot of other tripe out there. As a web developer, you should know that there's an insane amount of DIYers who think stuff like SquareSpace, 99Designs, Sites n' Stores is okay for a business. Just because the site doesn't look as good as it should (or function as well as it should) doesn't mean it's fake - that's a terrible accusation based on nothing at all. There's some genuine websites out there that literally haven't been updated in a decade. Bad? Yes. Fake? No.

Bullion Bourse doesn't have the latest website - in fact there's a percentage of it still in tables. Ignore the fact that it's currently broken on individual item pages (Holidays, maybe?) - this site doesn't look as flash as Gold Stackers, but there's still a hell of a lot of people here that trust him (I'm one of them), and he's got a lot of business.

Don't use the 'I'm a web developer' thing to spread nonsense.

Yes of topic and we are here because of silver, if i see a website that looks shitty..of course it can be real business but me personally i would never buy from it. Its from experience i have seen from my friends.

Regarding wordpress...its the easiest opensource that can be hacked other than that youre correct. if you guys want to be specific read my first post again but make sure you read every word.
But lets not fight about this...its a waste of time

First. I have no vested interest in this shyte fyte.

Next. I got two samples.

Both checked out ok with ultrasound.

Happy for someone to cross check the pieces I tested.

yes, well, regardless of how he made his presence known or others reactions to him, it sure seems to have paid off for him.
I think that doing well, in spite of some people, is a marque of success.
and to be clear about this post-I have no affiliations or vested interest, I'm just a new member witnessing the daily struggles in an open forum/market.
remember folks, you don't have to like someone-or tolerate them-or make a scene about them.
whether or not he's pedaling fake merchandise is now a moot point because his "advertising tactic" has worked...hasn't it :)

just got the silver bars today , very happy with the service

Ordered Sunday.
Was posted Monday (platinum express).
Was well packaged on arrival.
When I contacted owner regarding order I received prompt response after hours on a public holiday.
While I don't access to an XRF machine right now to double check their finesse, I am confident they are genuine (& not aware of any Rodebaugh 'fakes' in circulation).
Very happy with price, service & product.

There are still some very well priced hand poured bars & Monarch rounds available on sale, but by the looks of the homepage delivery will be delayed on orders for the next week and a half: http://www.sydneypreciousmetals.com/

These are my first Rodebaugh bars :)

Yep, These are my pours.

This may all be true in the end but I wont reward lies and deception with my business. I would rather pay $1 more for an ounce to a reputable trader who actually doesnt lie to their customers than to someone who's opening gambit is to deceive.

It wasn't deception with malicious intent, I think that's why people have given him a go.

Not an ideal introduction, but imagine a world where everyone refused to forgive mistakes...

Agree.

And if the mistakes are limited to this degree then let's hope the person is learning and becomes a stronger and wiser person for it.

My mistakes make these look not even worth noting.

I have probably missed the post, but it sounds like someone has tested the coins in order to say they are fake?
I got two samples.
They checked out 100% ok on ultrasound.
I know you're a good dude and that you are always on the lookout for scams.
As a member who is still learning heaps I read, appreciate and respect your thoughts very often.
And having traded with you I know you are extremely honest.
I am only saying the coins I bought were ok.
Have offered them to anyone to cross test.
Hope all's "sweet as" mate.

You realise that defamation is against the law right?

How is it a fact if you haven't tested them yourself? Something you refused to do...

Yep spanner I got the 1/10th oz and the smaller one ... to be honest to test them.

They are not my cup of tea either aesthetically speaking, but that is not really the issue here.

My understanding is that ultrasound is more reliable for depth / thickness testing than is xrf.

I used u / s.

Like many well known silver coins it appears they have some kind of surface finish.

But aside from that they tested 999 straight as a dye.

They might be a hit at weekend markets and school fund raisers or that kind of thing ... who knows.

If you are sending free samples, can you also send a paid bar with it at no shipping cost?

Thanks :)

Oh and his 1/10 oz rounds are legit and im pretty sure he makes them himself! I have bought them from a reseller on ebay!
