Are they available over the counter at the mint? I'm going to be trying to pick up 1 or 2 hundred if I can.

Wow, big premium on that proof! I love Australian silver, our US silver is pretty bland in comparison, imo. I recently picked up a non-proof 2000 Lunar Dragon from a local dealer for spot + $3. Guy is a jeweler mostly, buys and sells silver on the side and doesn't pay much attention to numismatic value, he just buys under spot and sells at spot or just above.

just missed some awesome lunar bargains on feebay... 2 oz s2 tiger $86!!! 5 oz lunar ox $211 !!! I got side tracked for a few minutes and it was all over... Probably for the best, after I put my bid in and drove up the price they probably wouldn't have ended up as bargains in the end. But to think what might have been, got to get more disciplined with my snipes. I'm finding a lot of good stuff but screwing up by missing the auctions. Kicking myself again.

The 5oz Ox was sold by a member here VRS I think? Given feebay/paypal fees are about 10%, its a pretty average price for the seller.

I think it may be because he is asking the bidders not pay via paypal , may be putting some people off as no buyer protection??? Just a feeling, I would have bid but I screwed up. Started chatting to the neighbour, had dinner, went to SS, and it was OVER. I reckon best time as seller to end auction is around 9 pm as people are less likely to be sidetracked! Thats my excuse for not bidding anyway!
