I own a rare 1994 Proof Two Pounds Gold Coin with a regular obverse
These coins were issued in both mule and regular obverses
Total claimed mintage of mules and regular obverses is 1000 coins
If certificates of authenticity for mule coins runs up to at least No. 827, shouldn't the actual mintage for a regular obverse be around 200 or less on the assumption that only a few people would return their mules coins for a replacement.
The asking price for the mule versions of this coin are over $3000 each and based on the COA of 827, 544 and 262 for the three mule coins that is currently offered on ebay, I suspect the coin with the normal obverse (like mine) is actually the rarer coin
Can anyone offer another opinion?
