Hi, I'm new to this forum as well as a noob in coin collection.

I need some advise on a 1990 Graded Ms68 that I have. I can't upload any photos (probably I'm too new in this forum) but I'll paste a link at the end of the post.

I bought this piece about a year back for near to S$180 but I heard that value have dropped more than 50%. I thought that Pandas are quite spot resistance except for recent ones? Can anyone advise me on this? Thanx!

Hi welcome to the forum, if you are willing to sell for $90 i would oblige and buy it off you
cheers Greg

Thanx for the offer but I got no intention to sell at a loss for the moment. But I would like to know the reason for the drop in price.

I don't know what the market for them was when ever you bought it but PandaStats shows the highest price as far back as 07/11 being less than that, did you over pay for it?

Average Price: $101.71
Highest Price: $162.5
Lowest Price: $73.05

Is the prices above in USD?

S$180 = ~$140 USD (using FX 1.2635 SGD/USD)

So maybe he paid the highest price over the past year or two.

Just because Panda is spot resistant doesn't mean that it is not affected by other factors such as market demand and supply :)

But is the demand for this particular year so bad? If spot is the factor affecting the value now.

With the falling prices, most people would also prefer to buy a MS69 rather than MS68.

Makes sense but for prices to drop by 50% is quite disheartening :(

Ebay is not really a good place to check. Asking price & actual market value is different. But I understand there's a place in ebay to check for those "Sold" items is it?

I did. Only stated "0 bids" or "BIN". 0 bids obviously mean no takers right? What about BIN?

If you look at all the listings carefully, it shows the going price of a Ms68 panda is around USD 70- 85.

I was initially using my iPhone to view so can't see the link properly. But now I do. Thanks. But my question is still hanging in the air. What happen to the coin?

Supply and demand Anlok, Supply and demand.........:)

But also try to buy the best coin you can afford, whether that be MS68,69 or 70.
