1966 round 50 pcgs grading difference.

Rigged! OP verbiage misleading! Photos misleading! I demand a recount! :mad:


Nah, what threw me off on the 2nd one is noticeable lack of luster compared to the 1st (which I knew was good).. as well as what looked like to me for the 2nd is more wear in her hair, as well as the emu feathers.

Not to mention some notable scratches & rim dings, leading me to believe that this might have been haphazardly handled.


Just not always easy with online pics, alone..

This is the lesson here, nothing like an in hand assessment of raw coins, other than that you need to have a bit of faith in professional graders.

Interesting and informative thread.
Out of interest how much did it cost to have the coins graded?
Have a collection of fifties, all purchased around bullion price, but I believe amoungst them some would have to be of a high or possibily the highest grade.

taking into account the exchange rate and postage cost your looking at about $38 for a 30 coin submission with secure grading.
You want to make sure your going to get 63 or higher but 1 ms66 can justify the cost on entire grading run. having said that you want learn to grade and try to see a ms65 in hand before you decide what you are sending
